Person planning to work (this includes unpaid volunteers) in Namibia must obtain work and residency permits and/or visas from the Embassy of Namibia before traveling. NAURU - *Passport, visa, onward/return ticket, and proof of hotel reservation or sponsorship from a resident in Nauru required. Visas are issued for a maximum of thirty days. Travelers transiting with valid ticket for an onward destination do not require a visa, provided that the first connecting flight departs within three days of arrival in Nauru. Business visitors must have a visa and a local sponsor. Nauru collects a departure tax that must be paid in cash and in Australian dollars. Tourist visas can be purchased upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and at all other ports of entry. If you applying for the first time within the current year, visa fee is $30 for 30 days (single entry) and $80 for 60 days (multiple entries). International vaccination certificate for yellow fever mandatory, and cholera vaccination is recommended. Transit visas not required for travelers continuing through Niger who do not leave airport. For a tourist visa, the general requirements apply as well as proof of onward/return transportation, and 1 copy of bank statement certifying the traveler has at least $500 in his/her bank account. For business visas, general requirements apply, plus 1 copy of a letter from the company that is being represented stating the purpose, activities, duration, and source of financial responsibility for the trip.
