Inspection Service - IAS currently allows customers to submit applications to import
fruits & vegetables and animal products, organisms, and vectors online, as well as check the status of an existing
application and submit revisions to an existing application. Customers will also be able to submit renewal and amendment
requests to their existing permits.
Farm Service Agency Online - is devoted to improving the economic stability of
agriculture by providing top-notch service to 65 million rural Americans. Our Agency administers a myriad of programs farm
loans, farm programs, food aid, conservation incentives, and others to help keep our Nation’s farmers and ranchers on their
land, and to help those who wish to begin farming and ranching for their livelihoods.
FNS Online - Food Distribution - has a dual mission is (1) to strengthen the nutrition safety net through commodity distribution
and other nutrition assistance to low-income families, emergency feeding programs, Indian Reservations, and the elderly
and (2) to strengthen American agriculture.
Food Safety and Inspection
Service - The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the public health agency in
the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg
products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged, as required by the Federal Meat Inspection Act, the
Poultry Products Inspection Act, and the Egg Products Inspection Act.
FSIS - Conversations
With America - is a reinventing government initiative to engage federal workers in two-
way conversations with their customers, the American public, on how to improve customer service.
FSIS - USDA Meat and
Poultry Hotline - is a toll-free telephone service that helps consumers prevent
foodborne illness, specifically by answering their questions about safe storage, handling, and preparation of meat and
poultry products.
