BUDGETING IS EASIER WITH CONSUMER’S ALMANAC
These days, many of us may be re-evaluating our family budgets, figuring out where we can save a couple of dollars and spending what we have more wisely. Lots of tools make it easier to track expenses and stick to a budget, but The Consumer’s Almanac, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, makes it especially easy. Each month has two pages: a table where you can write down projected expenses and income and a calendar page where you can write down when bills are due. You also get helpful tips to help you prepare for retirement, maximize both salaries in a two-income household, and calculate how much credit you can afford. Use this handy tool for the entire year to help you manage the money you’ve got and incorporate your long-term goals into each month’s budget. To order a copy,
send your name, address, and a check or money order for $1.00 to the Federal Citizen Information Center, Dept. 343R, Pueblo, CO 81009. Or call toll-free 1 (888) 8 PUEBLO, that’s 1 (888) 878-3256, and ask for Item 343R. Have your credit card handy. And visit www.pueblo.gsa.gov to read or print this and hundreds of other FCIC publications for free.
