QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ABOUT VITILIGO

Vitiligo (pronounced vit-ill-EYE-go) is a skin disorder in which patches or areas of skin lose their pigmentation and become white. The patches often occur on sun-exposed parts of the body, but they can also appear inside the nose or mouth or on the retina inside the eye. If you’d like to know more about this disorder, including how it’s diagnosed and treated, read Questions & Answers About Vitiligo from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. To get a free copy, send your name and address to the Federal Citizen Information Center, Dept. 658P, Pueblo, CO 81009. Or call toll-free 1 (888) 8 PUEBLO, that’s 1 (888) 878-3256, and ask for Item 658P. And visit www.pueblo.gsa.gov to read or print this and hundreds of other FCIC publications for free.
