Nearly 4.5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, a brain disorder that affects memory, thinking, and reasoning skills. Early symptoms of Alzheimer’s are sometimes mistaken for normal aging, so read more about the different types and different causes of forgetfulness.

At present, there’s no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, but early diagnosis can help to treat the symptoms and allow individuals to plan for their future while they’re still able to make decisions.

Visit the National Institute on Aging to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease.
