April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual assault encompasses any unwanted sexual contact and its victims can be of any gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or ability.

According to survey statistics, at least one in six American women has been the victim of rape or attempted rape. Who are the perpetrators? They can be family members, friends, acquaintances, or strangers.

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, please call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or visit www.rainn.org.

Digital TV Conversion Poster5. Digital TV Conversion — June 12

On June 12, 2009, all television stations in the U.S. will switch from analog to digital broadcasting. The switch was originally set to occur in February 2009, but Congress delayed the transition to give stations and consumers more time to prepare.

If you have an analog TV and do not subscribe to a paid service (such as cable or satellite), you’ll need to purchase a TV converter box. To help with the transition, every U.S. household is entitled to two coupons (each worth $40) that can be applied towards the cost of the converter box. Apply online for coupons.
